In, On, or Under The Water
Activities that teach a degree of self-reliance based on
courage, initiative and resourcefulness and the understanding and appreciation
of the wise use of resources and the protection of our environment are the
foundation of Sea Scouting. Ship 468 enjoys a vigorous outdoor sailing and
boating program as you can see in the photos in the links below. n.
Ceremonies are a natural part of the Sea Scouting
program. Carried out at ship meetings and as a part of some social activities,
they are used to recognize new members and those earning rank and receiving
awards. They also help develop a salty atmosphere and a program based on
nautical traditions and activities. The links below show Ship 468
performing admission ceremonies to welcome new Sea Scouts and recognize
advancement.
Sea Scouting promotes the development of the skills and the
desire needed to help others with a keen respect for the basic rights of others
and empathy for others. The links below show Ship 468 performing service
to others.
